The Fraser Foundation is committed to redefining education pathways, providing tailored scholarships to aspiring Early Learning Educators.

Applicant Criteria

Our scholarships are designed to help all students achieve their full potential in the field of early childhood education.

They are awarded to people from all backgrounds and study areas and are not just for high academic achievers.

There are also scholarships for different areas of study and research or relocation scholarships that support you in your move away from home.

Scholarship applicants who meet the eligibility criteria are assessed by a selection panel.

Selection criteria include:

In order to be eligible for a scholarship with The Fraser Foundation you must (include but not limited to);  

  • Have a passion for and commitment to education and early childhood 

  • Have enrolled or intend to enrol as a full-time or part time student in an approved Australian course of early childhood education

  • Commitment to completing your chosen course/degree 

  • Be an Australian citizen or Australian permanent resident  

  • Can prove a genuine need for support or assistance (for example, financial hardship, vulnerable, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people (ATSI) or rural or remote location, etc.)  

  • Be 17 years of age or older.

Successful applicants are required to sign a scholarship agreement with The Fraser Foundation, confirming and committing to the following:

Confirm :

  1. You are currently working as an early childhood teacher (ECT) or as an educator within an approved early childhood education and care service. Letter of employment required

  2. You are currently enrolled in an approved early childhood graduate diploma or Bachelor degree by providing details, confirmation letters and/or statements

  3. Please include two references. One from your current childcare director/manager, plus one more either personal or professional.

Commit to :

  1. Accept appointment as a permanent full-time early childhood teacher’s position with in a registered / approved early childhood education and care (ECEC) service within six months on completion of course – otherwise scholarship fess are to be refunded.

  2. Remain in a permanent full-time early childhood teaching position with an approved ECEC service for a minimum of five years.

Must provide reports from each semester to show progress and confirmation of successful completion of course must be provided.

A selection panel will review eligible applications in quarterly increments. If you are successful, we’ll notify you in writing.
